RMIT University, Civil Environmental & Chemical Engineering Teaching & Research Laboratories

Paul Morgan Architects was commissioned by RMIT University to establish both Physical Containment 2 (PC2) and general laboratories, known as the Civil Environmental & Chemical Engineering Teaching & Research Laboratories, on levels 1 and 2 of Building 7 on RMIT’s City Campus.

PMA was commissioned to establish both Physical Containment 2 (PC2) and general laboratories, known as the Civil Environmental & Chemical Engineering Teaching & Research Laboratories, on levels 1 and 2 of Building 7 on RMIT’s City Campus. 

 
 

Components of the upgrade included fume cupboards, exhausts, hydraulics and new joinery for functions include the Rheology Materials Processing Centre, sludge rooms, waste water, soil remediation and water research (biotech).

The project was completed in conjunction with the university’s Micro-Nano Research Facility, located on the top floor of the same building.
